As part of its 2010 Sunshine Day events, the N.C. Open Government Coalition at Elon University presents a panel discussion on "Big Stories Fueled by Open Government," examining the role of open government records in allowing journalists to break news stories.

The panel is moderated by Rick Thames, editor of the Charlotte Observer. Panelists include Ames Alexander of the Charlotte Observer, Dick Barron of the Greensboro News & Record and Andy Curliss of the Raleigh News & Observer.
